Spent the day trying to cross off items on my To-Do list. Picked up the official Rabies Titer results for Baxter and Lulu at the vet office. Now I’m ready for my appt. with the USDA Vet. Went to CarMax to redeem my class action suit award only to find that I have to apply for it by mail. Picked up Brad’s blazer from the cleaner. Stopped at Giant for a few last minute items. Went to the house to do laundry, collect more items for mailing to our new home, and clean out the fridge.

In the evening, we met some friends for a dinner at Regions in Catonsville. Haven’t seen Dave and Irene for eons and it was great to catch up with them again. Dave regaled us with stories of his childhood in Tel Aviv and Rene gave me a lovely gift of handcrafted dish/wash cloths. So good to see them again and sure hope they come to visit us in Israel.

so, what did your friends have to say about Tel Aviv?

Dave was reminiscing about the years he spent in Israel as a boy. He was there during the Suez crisis and told us what it was like to live in a country during war time. The bomb shelter in our house may be a left-over from that time period! In those days, he said, Israel was like a third world country, had to boil milk before consuming, etc. Things have changed, obviously, over the years and Tel Aviv is now a modern thriving cosmopolitan city.
